Sri Lanka will tour South Africa for a two-match Test series starting December to mark their return to the international scene after ten months, said a local media report on Sunday (October 25).
Sri Lanka last played any form of top-level cricket in February when they hosted West Indies for ODIs and T20Is.

The Islanders were looking at one of their busiest summers at home, including Test series versus England and limited-overs fixtures against India, but the COVID-19 pandemic saw indefinite suspension of all those matches.
Nevertheless, the 'Island' newspaper has now quote reported Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials, informing them of national team's return this winter for two Tests with the Proteas.
It is learnt, one of the games will be a Boxing Day Test, played from December 26 to 30. Durban or Port Elizabeth could host this Test, with the likelihood of New Year's Test being held in Cape Town.
The Sri Lankans have happy memories of their last tour to the rainbow nation back in early 2019. They whitewashed the home side 2-0, one of the most unexpected series scorelines in the game's recent history, and became the first Asian side to win a Test series in South Africa.
