Bangladesh team was really good in the recently concluded U19 Cricket World Cup 2020 in South Africa. The Bangladeshis were unbeaten throughout and proved to be too good for four-time champions Team India in the final at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.

The skipper of Bangladesh’s senior Test team Mominul Haque on Monday (10 February) said that they need to learn how to fight back from the juniors.

“If you want to learn something, you can learn from your juniors and from everywhere. They can give us some knowledge of how to get good results. They really fought back on the ground and we should learn from them. We have to learn one more thing from them and that is the way they have shown self-belief,” Haque told reporters in Pakistan.

The 28-year-old then talked about their performance against Pakistan in the first Test at Rawalpindi, “It was a very disappointing performance by us, there is no excuse for it and I think we have to improve a lot of things.”

“In-home conditions, every team is very good. They know our strength and they bowled very well. They worked very hard and it was more disappointing because we could not get even one 100-run partnership,” he added.

Thus, it will be interesting to see how the Bangladesh team plays in the second Test against Pakistan at Karachi.
