Smriti Mandhana celebrating her first wicket in international cricket | JioCinemaIndia vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is having a great time in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa. She slammed a century in the series opener and followed it with another hundred in the second game to become the first Indian women’s cricketer to hit a ton in successive ODI innings.

Moreover, Mandhana experienced a special moment in the ongoing second ODI in Bengaluru as she claimed her maiden international wicket.

Smriti Mandhana attained this feat by dismissing South Africa's Sune Luus. With her medium pace, Mandhana caught Luus off guard as the latter edged the ball to keeper Richa Ghosh for 12 off 13 balls in the 15th over.

As soon as she picked up the wicket, Mandhana went off on a celebratory spree with her teammates and the crowd went berserk as well.

Earlier in the match, Smriti Mandhana recorded her highest score in ODI cricket (136 off 120 balls) whereas skipper Harmanpreet Kaur too scored a magnificent century (103* off 88 balls). A 171-run partnership between the duo propelled the hosts to a mammoth 325/3 in 50 overs.

Having lost the first ODI at the same venue, South Africa will have to win this game to take the series into the decider. However, chasing 326 won't be an easy job against a potent Indian bowling attack.
