The hosts dominated the visitors right through the one-off Test, bundling out Australia for 219 in the first innings before posting 406 runs on the board, taking a considerable lead of 187 runs.

Pooja Vastrakar (four wickets), Sneh Rana (three wickets) and Deepti Sharma (two wickets) ran through the Australian batting line-up in the first innings while Smriti Mandhana (74), Jemimah Rodrigues (73), and Deepti Sharma (78) drove India past the 400-run mark.

At stumps on Day 3, the Aussie women were 233/5 but Indian bowlers did a fabulous job to restrict them at 261 in the second innings. Sneh Rana picked four wickets while Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Harmanpreet Kaur picked two scalps each.

Chasing 75 to win, India got over the line in 18.4 overs with Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues remaining unbeaten on 38 and 12 respectively.
