The highly-anticipated auction for the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) got underway in Mumbai on Saturday (December 9).
As many as 165 players are up for grabs at the auction as five teams - Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz - look to fine-tune their squad before the WPL 2024 season.
The bid started with capped batters and Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield grabbed the headlines with her hefty price tag.
