India’s young batter Jemimah Rodrigues shared a heart-warming post for the legendary Jhulan Goswami after the pacer retired from international cricket last week.

Goswami played her last match on September 24 at Lord’s in the third and final ODI of India’s tour of England, which was won by the touring side by 16 runs to secure a historic 3-0 series win in England after 25 years.

Well, Rodrigues wasn’t part of Goswami’s farewell match, as she was recovering from a wrist injury that she sustained during the women's Hundred 2022 in England.

However, the talented batter now took to Twitter to post a series of pictures with an emotional post to pay tribute to the legendary cricketer.

Rodrigues wrote on Twitter: “Dear Jhulu di, I know you must have gotten a million messages, but I just want you to know that I’ve always looked up to you (not just because you’re way taller than me) but in so many aspects. You always inspired me and led by example on how to be a good senior. And also I don’t think there’s anyone who can match your commitment, dedication, and passion towards the game.”

She added, “I’m definitely going to miss the dance sessions, chai parties, dinners, and UNO games but more than anything else I’m going to miss seeing you playing with us in the India Blues! I’m glad that I can tell everyone that I shared the dressing room with the legend, JHULAN GOSWAMI Thank you for everything you’ve done for Women’s Cricket! Wishing you the best of everything! Loads of love Big J didi.”
