India clinched the three-match series against England 3-0 after winning the final ODI at Lord's on Saturday (September 24). In a low-scoring game, India held their nerves better and prevailed by 16 runs to send off veteran seamer Jhulan Goswami in her farewell game on a high.

Player-of-the-Match, Renuka Thakur took 4/29 as India bowled out England for 153 in the 44th over, chasing a target of 170 to win. Goswami and Rajeshwari Gayakwad took two wickets each.

There was some debate on the final England wicket of Charlie Dean, who was run out for 47 by Deepti Sharma at the non-striker's end after she had left her crease before the ball was released. Deepti followed the rules as stated by the MCC and chose to run the batter out to end the game.
