Jemimah Rodrigues played only two matches for the Northern Superchargers | GettyIndia women’s batter Jemimah Rodrigues will miss the remainder of the ongoing The Hundred tournament after she fractured her wrist. She was playing for the Northern Superchargers team in the tournament.

Rodrigues entered the season fresh from a silver-medal-winning performance with the Indian cricket team at the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Her season began with a bang when the 21-year-old belted 51 off 32 against Oval Invincibles. In her second innings though she was dismissed after scoring just two.

"Northern Superchargers batter Jemimah Rodrigues has unfortunately been forced to end her season in The Hundred due to injury," read a statement on the official website of the tournament.

She will be replaced by Gaby Lewis, who will be available for only two games on either side of Ireland's three-match ODI series against the Netherlands.

Rodrigues had sustained a blow to her right wrist off Shakera Selman during India's Commonwealth Games match against Barbados. She continued to play the competition with a taped wrist and finished with 146 runs - the fifth-most.

This is the second time Lewis is replacing an Indian player in the Hundred. Last year she was part of Southern Brave after Smriti Mandhana left for home towards the end of the league stages to prepare for India's tour of Australia.
