After suffering a disappointing loss against Australia in their first match of the Commonwealth Games (CWG 2022), India made a staggering comeback and pounded arch-rivals Pakistan to register their first win of the tournament.
Asked to bowl first, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side displayed a magnificent bowling performance and bundled out the opposition for just 99 runs. Sneh Rana and Radha Yadav took four wickets between them to star for their side with the ball.
In reply, Smriti Mandhana played a sensational unbeaten knock of 63 runs to take her side home with 8 wickets to win.
With this win, Harmanpreet Kaur registered her 42nd win as a skipper in the T20 format. She surpassed MS Dhoni to become the Indian captain with the most T20I wins. Notably, the former wicketkeeper-batter registered 41 wins during his tenure.
After Dhoni, next on the list of most successful Indian T20 skippers is Virat Kohli, who led the side in 50 matches and won 30 out of them.
