The Indian women's cricket team is all set to play a six-match white-ball series against New Zealand in their own backyard as part of its preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 in March-April next year which will be played there as well.
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Friday (November 12) announced that the New Zealand Women will be hosting India Women in February 2022 to give the final touch to their preparations for the World Cup.
India and New Zealand will play a one-off T20 International on February 9 and five ODIs from February 11-24 – which will be a crucial part of the White Ferns' preparations for the ODI World Cup 2022.

The NZC said in a statement, “The White Ferns will put the finishing touches on their preparations for the upcoming World Cup, to be hosted in New Zealand for the first time in 22 years, when they play India in a six-match series comprising a T20, and five ODIs.”
NZC chief executive David White said in a statement: “The India series is a crucial part of the White Ferns' World Cup preparations.”
