England and India took each other on in the first of the three-match women's T20I series. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bowl first in Northampton.
England piled on a massive score of 177/7 in their 20 overs with Natalie Sciver scoring 27-ball 55 and Amy Jones supporting her with 43-run knock. Shikha Pandey took 3 for 22 to be the most successful bowler from India.
India's bowling did not provide a lot of cheer to the supporters but their fielding, and especially the catching was excellent. One such example was when Harleen Deol grabbed a catch that will be difficult to beat in the whole English summer.
Amy Jones, looking to accelerate the scoring, played a lofted shot on the off-side only to see Harleen pulling off a special catch while keeping her feet in control at the boundary rope.
