Apart from being a brilliant batter, India opener Smriti Mandhana is also a wonderful fielder. She gave a glimpse of her fielding brilliance during the third ODI against England in Worcester.
It was the 38th over of India’s innings when Mandhana pulled off a stunner to dismiss Natalie Sciver on 49.
While facing Deepti Sharma, Sciver danced down the track but failed to make the desired connection as the ball went towards deep mid-wicket, where Mandhana made a sprint to her left and dived full length to grab it with both hands.
Smriti Mandhana’s herculean effort on the field left everyone in awe, including herself.

Coming to the match, India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Thanks to Deepti Sharma’s 3/47, the visitors restricted England Women to 219 in 47 overs-a-side contest.
Having won the first two games, the home has already clinched the three-match ODI series.
