WIW v PAKW 2021: WATCH- Two West Indies women cricketers collapse on field during 2nd T20I

Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation were the cricketers who fainted on the field.

A strange incident happened during the second T20I between West Indies Women’s team and Pakistan women’s team, as the hosts’ two cricketers Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation suddenly fell on the ground while fielding in Antigua and after that, they were immediately taken to the hospital.

Henry and Nation fell on the ground in separate incidents on Friday (June 2) almost 10 minutes apart from each other while fielding in the second T20I against Pakistan at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and both cricketers had to be stretchered off the field.

Henry was the first to collapse during the fourth over of the Pakistan innings and she was taken to a hospital through a stretcher after the initial check-up on the field, while Nation fainted minutes after her teammate and she was also was taken to hospital on Friday.

However, Cricket West Indies (CWI) confirmed that both are “conscious and stable”. However, but the reason for them succumbing to the ground is still unknown.

As per ESPNCricinfo, CWI stated: “Chinelle Henry and Chedean Nation were taken to hospital for medical attention. Both Henry and Nation are conscious and stable at the hospital and are being assessed.”

Well, the incident didn’t have much impact on the West Indies side as the hosts emerged victorious narrowly by seven runs (DLS method) and took a 2-0 series having won the first game by ten runs against Pakistan.
