ENGW v INDW 2021: Shafali Verma becomes fifth youngest to play all three formats after ODI debut

Shafali Verma made 15 on her ODI debut | GettyIndia women’s team batting sensation Shafali Verma was handed her ODI debut on Sunday against England women in Bristol and this made her the 5th youngest player to feature in all three formats of the game on an international level.

The 17-year-old was presented with India Women's ODI cap number 131 from captain Mithali Raj. The Rohtak-born had made her Test debut in the recently-concluded one-off Test against England.

Afghanistan's Mujeeb Ur Rahman (17y 078d), England's Sarah Taylor (17y 086d), Australia Women's Ellyse Perry (17y 104d), and Pakistan's Mohammad Amir (17y 108d) are the only 4 players to achieve the feat before Shafali.

Shafali Verma, who is the no.1 ranked T20I batter, made a stellar Test debut against England scoring 96 and 63 recently.
