Virat Kohli provides financial support to Sravanthi Naidu for her mother's COVID-19 treatment

HCA also sanctioned INR 3 lakh to Sravanthi Naidu for the same cause.

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has yet again won hearts with his kindness in this critical time as the dashing batsman made the donation of INR 6.77 Lakhs for the treatment of former India women’s cricketer K.S. Sravanthi Naidu's mother who battling for life against the COVID-19 infection.

Sravanthi’s mother SK Suman is in critical condition and undergoing treatment for COVID-19 presently. It is being said that the former cricket had spent INR 16 Lakhs for treatment of her parents who were infected by the deadly Coronavirus recently.

She is now seeking financial support from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), and many other associations to help her in this testing time.

The HCA Apex Council has already sanctioned INR 3 Lakhs for Sravanthi and the body would be releasing another INR 2 Lakhs soon for the same cause.

Now, Kohli has come forward to help the former women's cricketer by making generous donations to help her in the challenging time after Indian fielding coach R. Sridhar took up the issue with the Indian skipper.

N. Vidya Yadav, former BCCI South Zone convenor (women’s cricket) and sister of former BCCI president N. Shivlal Yadav, has revealed the same on Wednesday (May 19).

Vidya told Sportstar: “Honestly, I was amazed at his spontaneous gesture. Such a great gesture from such a great cricketer. I am also grateful to the Indian fielding coach R. Sridhar who also took up the issue with Kohli.”

Noteworthy, Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma have been raising funds for the COVID-19 relief fund to help those affected by the devastating second wave of the deadly Coronavirus.
