Shafali Verma, the young dynamo of the Indian women’s cricket team, continues her reign as the no.1 batswoman in the latest ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings, released on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
She recently slammed 30-ball 60 in the final T20I match against South Africa women which helped her retain her position as the no.1 ranked T20I batter. Verma, who had regained the top position last week, garnered 26 rating points and now has 776 rating points.

Smriti Mandhana, who led the Indian women in the T20I series against South Africa, gained one spot and is sixth after her unbeaten 48 off 28 deliveries. Jemimah Rodrigues sits at the no. 9 spot in the batter’s rankings.
Also improving her ranking was India’s left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad, whose 3/9 lifted her 12 places to a career-best 13th position among bowlers while Deepti Sharma at 7 and Radha Yadav at 8 remain the only Indian bowlers in the top ten of the bowling rankings.

Deepti Sharma is also the lone Indian in the all-rounder’s rankings in T20Is, at the no.4 place.
