England Women captain Heather Knight isn’t too worried about the bio-secure bubble life, as England Women’s cricket team is set for two-week quarantine in New Zealand before playing a white-ball series against the White Ferns next month.

England Women are scheduled to take on New Zealand Women in a three-match one-day international series and as many as T20Is starting February 23, 2021. England will fly out on 24 January and then they will have to complete two-week quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, the England Women’s team had already experienced the bio-secure bubble life during their hastily arranged five-match T20I series against the West Indies last year at home and Knight said “it's manageable but it's not particularly fun” and she is confident to cope with the quarantine.

Knight said: “We've experienced bubble life as cricketers and it's manageable but it's not particularly fun. It's obviously what we need to do at the moment but just a carrot of being able to live normally and enjoy the amazing things that come with touring is something we're massively excited to do.”

She added, “I think it's a really important tour in the context of women's cricket internationally, being able to get the game on and so much hard work has gone into it.”

Noteworthy, England will not have the service of injured Anya Shrubsole on their New Zealand tour but has the left-arm pacer Tash Farrant and teenage fast bowler Issy in their 16-member strong squad.
