The outbreak and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has become a global health emergency that has not only made the human life worse, forcing many to lose their jobs and struggling for food but also badly hit all the sporting calendar as well as the worldwide economy.

Cricket, like every other sport, has also come to a standstill due to the spread of the pandemic with many scheduled both men’s and women’s international fixtures and different T20 leagues suspended.

The deadly and fast-growing COVID-19 virus has infected more than 1.5 million people around the world and also claimed over 85,000 lives globally so far while leaving most of the countries with only the option to impose lockdown to minimize the spread of the furious virus.

With the continued spread of the novel COVID-19, the International Code Council (ICC) has tried to spread awareness about the ongoing health crisis, sharing a video featuring former Women cricketers Isa Guha, Lisa Sthalekar and Anjum Chopra who all are reiterating the safety measures that need to be followed advised by the authorities amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, April 10, the ICC shared a video, in which the three former women star cricketers, who are currently serving as commentators and pundits, can be seen appealing all to stay together and stay healthy to defeat the global pandemic.

They all are also asked the fans to wash hands frequently, maintain social distancing, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, practice respiratory hygiene, and also told them to seek medical care if you have a fever, cough or difficulty in breathing and follow the advice of the healthcare providers.
