Ellyse Perry stars as Australia wins by 4 wickets against India in women's T20I Tri-series

Kaur and Mandhana put on 40 runs for 3rd wicket The third match of the ongoing Women’s T20I tri-series in Australia saw the host nation take on Indian eves. Rachel Haynes won the toss and chose to bowl first.

The Indian innings proved to be a disappointing one with only Smriti Mandhana (35), and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (28) reaching double digits, along with a lower order flurry of Radha Yadav, who made 11 and took India to 103/9.

The chase was supposed to be an easy one, but Shikha Pandey and Deepti Sharma removed the openers early, while Gayakwad picked two wickets as well. Ashleigh Gardner made 22, while Perry continued her all-around show by making 49 with 8 fours, before falling to Radha. However, the total proved to be insufficient for Indian bowlers to defend and Australia won in the 19th over with 4 wickets in hand.

Ellyse Perry won the Player of the Match award.
