Medhavi Bidhuri, a 20-year-old leg-spinner from Delhi, has taken the internet by storm with her quirky ‘6-7’ celebration in the opening match of the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026.

Bidhuri, who plays for Central Delhi Queens, grabbed headlines after claiming a couple of scalps against defending champions South Delhi Superstarz on August 20.

After dismissing Nishika Singh in the 16th over, Bidhuri pulled off the now-famous ‘6-7’ hand gesture. She returned with the impressive bowling figures of 2/24, although her team lost the match by 29 runs.

The celebration involves moving both hands up and down in a loose seesaw motion while saying “six-seven”. It has become a Gen Z and Gen Alpha internet trend, even though it has no single fixed meaning.

Following the game, Bidhuri revealed that the celebration was masterminded by her younger sister, described as being "very Gen Z".

Notably, Bidhuri wears jersey No. 12, but because that number was already occupied by a teammate, she needed a replacement. It was then her sibling told her to pick the number 67 and specifically coached her to use the matching "6-7" gesture if she took a wicket.

"Nothing, just my jersey number is 12 but it was occupied and my little sister is a bit Gen Z, so she told me to take the 67 jersey and thus the celebration was born," Bidhuri said while speaking to content creator Abhishek Pandey.

Medhavi Bidhuri is an emerging right-arm leg-spinner from the Delhi domestic setup. She was also among the players registered for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction. She represented South Delhi Superstarz in the Women’s DPL 2025.
