Deepak Chahar rattled WI top order | GettyThe third T20I between West Indies and India was played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. The match started late due to rain, but no overs were lost. Indian captain Virat Kohli won his 3rd toss in the row and chose to bowl first.

India gave a debut to Rahul Chahar and also brought his cousin Deepak in the team, while Rohit Sharma made way for KL Rahul. West Indies included Fabien Allen in place of Khary Pierre. The bad start of the West Indies team continued, as Deepak Chahar ran through the top order, removing Narine and Hetmyer for single-digit scores and Lewis for 10 runs, ending up with figures of 3 wickets for 4 runs in 3 overs.

In reply, Shikhar Dhawan’s poor run continued as Thomas got him out for 3 runs and KL Rahul made 20 in 18 balls before being stumped by Pooran off Allen. Virat Kohli (59 in 45 balls) and Rishabh Pant then took over the chase. While Kohli got out near the target, Pant (65* in 42 balls) ended the match in style by hitting a six, as India registered a 7-wicket win to pocket the series 3-0.

Oshane Thomas picked two wickets for the home team, while Allen got one.
