Women’s T20WC 2020: Sciver and Ecclestone help England rout the West Indies by 46 runs

England topped group B with 6 points from 4 games at the moment.

Sophie Ecclestone and Natalie Sciver where the stars for England team | GettyEngland and West Indies teams faced off in the 16th match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 at the Sydney Showground Stadium. England won the toss and Heather Knight chose to bat first.

Tammy Beaumont fell for a duck, but Danni Wyatt (29), and Amy Jones (23*) helped Natalie Sciver (57) take England to 143/5 on a difficult wicket to bat on. Selman, Fletcher, Mohammad, and Taylor picked one wicket each for the Windies women.  

In reply, the Windies just couldn’t get their innings going, after Sophie Ecclestone picking 3/7 and Sarah Glenn picking 2/16. Lee-Ann Kirby top-scored with 20 runs, while the team received a big blow after captain Stafanie Taylor was stretchered off after hobbling while taking a single. She made 15 runs.

With this win, England has 6 points from 4 matches and has topped the points table currently, with South African women playing one game more.
