West Indies dominated their way through against debutant Thailand to clinch a seven-wicket victory in Perth in Group B of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 on Saturday (February 22).

Despite the massive defeat, Thailand players were in great spirits as they won hearts with a beautiful gesture after the match.

The Thailand team bowed to all corners of the WACA Ground in Perth to thank their fans and everyone else involved.

Here’s the video:

Coming to the match, Thailand managed to reach as far as only 78/9 in their full quota of 20 overs after electing to bat first. Wicketkeeper batter Nannapat Koncharoenkai top-scored with a painstakingly slow 33 but the rest of the batting struggled badly as the likes of Nattaya Boochatham (2) and Nattakan Chantam (9) failed to leave a mark.

In the run-chase, Thailand women had their moments, inflicting two run-outs of Lee-Ann Kirby (3), Deandra Dottin (2) and Soraya Lateh (1/21) dismissing Hayley Matthews (16), but eventually West Indies skipper Stafanie Taylor (26*) and Shemaine Campbelle (25*) took their team over the line with 20 balls to spare.
