Rishabh Pant seemingly can’t get over the fact that he is now a T20 World Cup winner after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 tournament in Barbados on June 29. India defeated South Africa in the final by 7 runs to become two-time T20 World Champions.

It was a brilliant return to international cricket for Rishabh Pant, who had last played for India in December 2022. He then met with a serious car accident on New Year’s Eve and spent months recovering from his injuries and rehabbing at the NCA.

He made his cricketing comeback with the IPL 2024, where he captained Delhi Capitals, kept wickets in all games and was the highest scorer for his side in the tournament. Pant was then picked in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup and did well for the team.

Pant went on to contribute 171 runs in India's eight-match unbeaten run to winning the T20 World Cup trophy and also took 13 catches besides doing one stumping.

Therefore it is understood that the 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman can't let the T20 World Cup winners' medal go out of his sight.

"This medal hits you differently," wrote Pant in a social media post with pictures of himself with the medal.
