Saurabh Netravalkar and his sister Nidhi | XSaurabh Netravalkar, the USA left-arm pacer’s sister Nidhi has revealed that the cricketer is carrying his laptop with him and working in a hotel after playing matches in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

The Mumbai-born pacer, now the bowling spearhead of the US cricket team besides being a software engineer with Oracle, has impressed fans and critics alike by claiming four wickets in three matches, including those of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the match against India.

In the USA's second match of the tournament, Netravalkar's heroics occurred in a nail-biting battle against Pakistan, where he protected 18 runs in the 'Super Over' to stun the 2009 champions and earn widespread admiration.

However, Netravalkar's path is not limited to cricket. Netravalkar handles his rigorous career as a cricketer and a software engineer at Oracle while also fulfilling his sporting responsibilities.

He’s been very fortunate to have people who have always supported him throughout his career. He knows that when he’s not playing cricket, he has to give 100 percent to the job. So right now, when he’s working, he carries his laptop everywhere. And he has the freedom to work from anywhere," Saurabh’s sister Nidhi told CricketNext.

Nidhi revealed how her brother seamlessly integrates his professional and sports responsibilities.

She said: “Even when he comes to India, he brings his laptop, he’s working...He is pretty dedicated like that.”

Reflecting on his growing-up years in Mumbai, Nidhi highlighted the city's influence on Saurabh's work ethic.

This is something which is like that 'Mumbaikarness' in him, which is always there; this whole hustle culture in us," she added.
