Netherlands all-rounder Sybrand Engelbrecht pulled off an incredible catch to get rid of Bangladesh opener Litton Das in the T20 World Cup 2024 match in St Vincent on Thursday (June 13).
On the first delivery of the fourth over, off-spinner Aryan Dutt dismissed Das for just 1 thanks to Engelbrecht’s brilliance on the field.
Facing only his second delivery, Litton Das went for a big slog sweep and initially it seemed that the ball would land safely. However, Sybrand Engelbrecht had other ideas as he sprinted swiftly to his left from deep square leg and dived across with outstretched hands to complete a stunning grab.

After Litton’s dismissal, Tanzid Hasan joined forces with Shakib Al Hasan and added 48 runs for the third wicket to bail Bangladesh out of trouble.
At the time of writing this article, the Tigers were 76/3 in 10 overs after being asked to bat first. Shakib (31*) and Towhid Hridoy (3*) were unbeaten in the middle for Bangladesh.
