Pakistan failed to chase India's 119 and folded for 113/7 in 20 overs, losing by 6 runs | GettyA Pakistani fan who had sold his tractor in Pakistan to buy the ticket for the IND v PAK T20 World Cup 2024 match was heckled by fellow cricket lovers after the Men in Green suffered an embarrassing loss to India in New York on Sunday.

The recent setback will be difficult for Pakistan fans to accept because Pakistan dominated for the whole of the game but fell six runs short of a small goal of 120, much to their dismay.

One such fan, who had made a considerable sacrifice by selling his tractor to purchase a USD 3000 ticket, was visibly heartbroken and shaken by the loss when he was interviewed immediately following the game.

I have sold my tractor to get a ticket worth USD 3000. When we saw the score of India, we didn’t think that we were going to lose this game. The game was in our hands but after Babar Azam got out, people were disheartened…I congratulate you all,” said the fan, his voice trembling with emotion, even as Indian fans surrounded the poor chap and started heckling him with ‘India jeetega‘ chants.

Trying very hard to maintain his composure, the fan added that the game was there for Pakistan to win.

One fan even went on to mock the interviewer, saying, “Bhai Dolce and Gabbana ke chasme pehnke Pakistan ka interview loge, hamara nahi loge (Brother, you will take a Pakistani’s interview wearing Dolce & Gabbana glasses, but not ours.)”

Pakistan's failure to chase down the paltry total of 119 proved to have a detrimental effect on Men in Green fans. More than 34,000 fans were in attendance at the temporary arena despite the early rain on Sunday.

Pakistan fans were left disappointed yet again after conceding another defeat to their neighbors and arch-rivals.

One fan was well-known Momin Saqib, who had gained viral fame with his reactions after Pakistan’s loss to India at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, who was seen heartbroken yet again.
