Notably, the Men in Green suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of USA in their tournament opener in Dallas on June 6.
The nail-biting encounter saw both teams ending their innings at the identical score of 109, necessitating the one-over eliminator, where the Men in Green conceded 18 runs as veteran campaigner Mohammad Amir bowled quite a few wide deliveries.
With the bat, Pakistan tried their best but USA’s left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar held his nerves to restrict the 2009 champions to just 13 runs.
Two days after the game, a video emerged on the internet, in which Shaheen can be seen lying on the bed and watching his unbeaten cameo of 16-ball 23 from the highlights of the Pakistan versus USA clash on TV.
The left-arm pacer was seemingly enjoying his batting highlights as he smashed sixes and a four during his knock.
Shaheen’s act, however, didn’t go down well with the Pakistani fans as many of them called him ‘shameless’ for enjoying his batting highlights despite the team’s humiliating defeat.
