The highly-anticipated India versus Pakistan clash in the ongoing T20 World Cup is all set to be held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York on Sunday (June 9).
Ahead of the marquee encounter, a video is doing rounds on social media, in which some Indian fans can be seen talking and clicking pictures with Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi.
In the clip, one of the fans can be heard saying: "We have come here to watch a special match, but we got a nice surprise."
The Indian fans, in jovial mood, even asked Shaheen "not to bowl a good spell against India". Not only that, some of them also told the left-arm quick to consider Rohit (Sharma) and Virat (Kohli) as his friends, leaving the entire group in splits.
Shaheen Afridi maintained his calm and composure and took the light-hearted comments of Indian fans sportingly.
Here’s the video:
Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, are entering the big match on the back of a thumping eight-wicket victory over Ireland in New York.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign got off to a terrible start as they suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of USA in Dallas.
Historically, India have dominated Pakistan in T20 World Cups, with the latter securing victory only once in seven games.
