Rashid Latif, the former Pakistan cricketer, who has revealed that the Pakistan team in the USA for T20 World Cup 2024, had organized a paid fan meet and greet, has now said that the event has been postponed.

Pakistan recently opened their T20 World Cup 2024 with a super-over loss to the USA in Dallas, Texas. Earlier Latif had revealed the digital posters of the event with entry fees of USD 25 and questioned the organising of such events in the middle of the World Cup.

However, following their embarrassing loss against the USA, the former cricketer claimed that the team has reportedly postponed their next event scheduled to be held on June 7 in New York.

Who is providing the tour schedule in advance to who? Are these pre-arranged?, who is giving the go-ahead for events during a World Cup?” wrote Latif on his X account.

Former cricketers and the media have strongly condemned Pakistan for their loss against the United States. The Babar Azam-led side struggled throughout the game, making multiple mistakes on the field that cost them the game.

Following their loss, Pakistan will next face arch-rivals India on June 9 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
