The T20 World Cup 2024 got underway on June 1 and Team India also played its only warmup game against Bangladesh on the same day. India will play three of its Group A stage matches in New York, and one in Florida.
India’s first match of T20 World Cup will be on June 5 against Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. India will then play arch rivals Pakistan on June 9.
As there is still time for India to begin its tournament, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal decided to be a tourist and explored the New York areas. Jaiswal shared a video on his Instagram account in which he could be seen visiting the Statue of Liberty. The caption of the video read, “New York, US.”
