Legendary India batter Sunil Gavaskar bumped into Pakistan skipper Babar Azam at the London airport on Saturday (June 1).

Gavaskar was seen having a warm conversation with Babar as the Pakistan team arrived at the airport to fly to USA for the T20 World Cup 2024.

The official X handle of PCB shared a video of the Pakistan cricket team leaving London and reaching Dallas. Babar was delighted to meet Gavaskar, who has praised the Pakistan captain’s batting on multiple occasions.

Babar’s interaction with Gavaskar happened days before the marquee India versus Pakistan clash in the T20 World Cup.

The arch-rivals are slated to square off on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on the outskirts of New York, USA.

Historically, India have dominated Pakistan in T20 World Cups, with the latter securing victory only once in seven games.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam and his men have reached Dallas, which will host their opening match of the tournament against hosts USA on June 6.
