T20 World Cup 2024: Cricket fans unhappy on seeing dismal condition of IND v PAK match venue in New York

India and Pakistan will clash at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in NY.

Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Eastern Meadows, New York | NY PostThe condition of the venue of the India v Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 encounter has left cricket fans angry. The T20 World Cup will be played in June, jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA.

The marquee event will kick-start on June 1, when the USA and Canada will clash at the Grand Prairie Stadium, in Texas. India will begin its T20 WC journey with a game against Ireland on June 5 in New York.

However, the blockbuster tie between India and Pakistan will be played on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Eastern Meadows, New York. This is the first time that the USA will be co-hosting a cricket World Cup.

However, a viral video on social media has angered cricket fans, eager to watch the two rivals India and Pakistan in action in New York. The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium was seen to be in a dilapidated condition, with uneven outfield and patches.

The cricket fans on Twitter fumed at watching the condition of the ground. They couldn’t believe that the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan would be played at a stadium that is in no condition to host even local matches.
