Sam Curran also picked 3/12, while Shan Masood top-scored for Pakistan with 38 | GettyThe final of the T20 World Cup 2022 saw England taking on Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday, November 13, 2022. In the summit clash, England began on the right note, after Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to field first.

Pakistan's batting started cautiously, as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan added 29 runs in the first 4 overs with Rizwan falling for 15 runs and then Babar following for 32 runs.

After that, Adil Rashid and Sam Curran turned the screws on the Pakistani batting in the middle overs. Shan Masood managed 38 in 28 balls, while Shadab Khan made 20 runs.

But Adil’s 2/22 in 4 overs and Sam Curran’s brilliant 3/12 in 4 overs meant that Pakistan only managed 137/8 in their 20 overs.

Sam Curran also picked 3/12, while Shan Masood top-scored for Pakistan with 38.

Chris Jordan also picked 2/27 as England gave themselves a good chance of winning their second title, setting themselves only 138 runs as the target in the final.

The cricket fraternity was all praises for England leggie Adil Rashid, who stifled the run flow in middle overs, getting wickets of dangerous Mohammad Haris for 8 and Babar Azam.
