T20 World Cup 2022: Cricket fraternity reacts to India’s humiliating 10-wicket loss versus England in semi-final

England chased down India's target of 169 with four overs to spare.

Asked to bat first, the Men in Blue posted 168/6 in their 20 overs on the back of half-centuries from Hardik Pandya (63 off 33 balls) and Virat Kohli (50 off 40 balls).

Adil Rashid was the stand-out bowler for England, claiming one wicket by conceding only 20 runs in his four overs.

In reply, England chased down the total without breaking a sweat in 16 overs with 10 wickets in hand. While Alex Hales stayed unbeaten on 86 off 47 balls (4 fours and 7 sixes), skipper Jos Buttler finished with 80 not out off 49 balls (9 fours and 3 sixes).

With this victory, England set up a clash with Pakistan in the final at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday (November 13).

For their clinical display with both and ball, England cricket team received rich praise from the cricket fraternity while the inaugural T20 champions garnered severe criticism.
