T20 World Cup 2022: Cricket fraternity lauds Hardik Pandya for his stupendous 63 as India makes 168/6

India came into this knockout match after topping their Group 2, while England finished second in Group 1 in the Super 12s stage.

England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and chose to bowl first. He also revealed that Mark Wood and Dawid Malan failed to get fit from their respective injuries and Phil Salt and Chris Jordan came into the XI. India came in unchanged from their last match.

KL Rahul failed to score in the big match and Rohit Sharma made 27 in 28 balls as India made 62/2 in 10 overs. Suryakumar Yadav had an off day as he was dismissed for 14 runs by Adil Rashid.

Then Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya added 61 runs in 40 balls for the 4th wickets. Kohli struck his 4th fifty of the ongoing tournament and during his knock of 50, became the first batter to 4000 T20I runs.

But the innings belonged to Hardik Pandya who slammed a wonderful 63 in just 33 balls with 5 sixes and 4 fours to his name, taking India to 168/6 in 20 overs. Chris Jordan took 3/43 in his 4 overs.

The cricketing fraternity was all praises for Hardik Pandya’s amazing knock and lauded him on Twitter.
