Wasim Akram also had a strong message for the captain Babar Azam.

The official Twitter handle of Pakistan Cricket and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been continuously giving glimpses of the dressing room, from birthday celebrations to speeches and players’ meetings, and the team's fans have been absolutely loving it.

This activity has been going on since the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 began in Australia, but the former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram wasn’t happy with it at all, saying there is no need to show everything to the world.

The former pacer believes that whatever happens inside the dressing room should be kept confidential and said that there is no need to show the world what’s happening inside their team. His comments came after a video of the latest Pakistan team discussion went viral on social media following their win over Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Wasim Akram said on A-Sports: “If I was Babar, I would get hold of that guy who is making a video. Sometimes, certain things are personal. I am all for social media, players interacting with their fans and everything. But I have not seen any other team do it in this World Cup? So yeah, the urge to get extra numbers (followers, likes), cut it down. This is too much.”

The former Pakistan pacer added, “There are recordings taking place all the time. Imagine if I am sitting and not knowing that someone is recording - a message that I want to give my team. Just tell him, 'Guys, relax for two days. Do it some other place but not dressing room.”

Meanwhile, Waqar Younis also agreed with Akram, as the former Pakistan coach said that the world should be privy to such team meetings and gatherings. He said on the same channel, “I 100 percent agree with you. Whatever happens inside the dressing room, should stay there.”

Waqar signed off by saying, “This is a problem not just now but earlier as well when a lot of information was leaked to the media - people used to scream, argue, fight. And now you yourself are recording and showing it to the world.”
