Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the most discussed cricketers since the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 began in Australia. From fans to cricketers, everybody is just in awe of the way the Indian star hits the ball for fours and sixes easily in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022.

On Sunday, November 6, Suryakumar had the cricket fraternity going gaga for him with another perfect show in the final Super 12 match between India and Zimbabwe. The right-hander blasted an unbeaten 61 off 25 balls to guide Team India to a 71-run win over Zimbabwe on Sunday.

While Suryakumar is ruling the headlines for his stylish shots and 360-degree batting at the moment, former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi hailed the Indian star by saying that the Mumbai lad has a unique skill set for hitting sixes that makes his batting more beautiful to watch.

Speaking on Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi said: “He (Suryakumar) has come to the Indian team after playing over 250 (domestic) matches. He knows his game. He hits sixes even off good deliveries. Because he has put a lot of practice behind his game.”

Speaking on the comparison between Mohammad Rizwan and Suryakumar over their flexibility and variety of shots, Afridi noted: “As a batsman, you will have to develop good shots to become an impactful player. T20 is such a format where you will have to hit sixes all across the ground. More variety of shots you have runs will easily come to your kitty.”

Notably, Pakistan will now face New Zealand in the first semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the SCG on November 9 while India will take on England in the second semi-final in Adelaide on November 10.
