The Indian cricket team needs to win both their remaining two matches against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia following their five-wicket loss to South Africa in their last Super 12 match in Perth.
As Team India is gearing up for the Super 12 clash against Bangladesh on November 2 in Adelaide, former Indian women's captain-turned-commentator, Mithali Raj, predicted that India and South Africa will progress to the semifinals from Group 2, and the final will be played between New Zealand and India at the MCG on November 13.
The legendary women's cricketer further predicted that New Zealand would be one of the semifinalists and there would be a toss between Australia and England for the second spot from Group 1.

Well, if New Zealand manages to beat England on Tuesday, they will secure a semifinal berth while it will end the fourth-placed Three Lions’ hopes to make it to the top four of the T20 World Cup 2022.
Mithali Raj told Star Sports: “My predictions for the semi-final spot, that is four spots will be India and South Africa from Group 2. From Group 1, it will be New Zealand and a toss-up between England and Australia. And the finalists, there is no doubt, India has to be there, and New Zealand.”
Notably, New Zealand is currently leading the Group 1 points table with 5 points, followed by Australia and Sri Lanka in the second and third spots with 5 and 4 points, respectively, while England is in the fourth spot with 3 points.
