India registered a clinical 56-run win over Netherlands in a Group 2 clash of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday, October 27, to top the points table.
India won the toss and opted to bat first as captain Rohit Sharma (53), Virat Kohli (62*) and Suryakumar Yadav (51*) struck fifties to help the side post 179/2.
In reply, Netherlands could only manage 123/9 as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, R Ashwin, and Akshar Patel took two wickets each to seal India's second win of the tournament.
Suryakumar Yadav won the Player-of-the-Match award for his unbeaten 51 in 25 balls, which included 7 fours and a six, which came off the last ball of India's innings helping him reach his 10th T20I half-century.

Kohli and Suryakumar, who added an unbroken stand of 95 runs for the third wicket, really enjoyed the moment as the duo performed a special celebration. The latter also shared a reel of the shot and celebration originally posted by ICC on his Instagram and added his own reaction to it.
