India and Pakistan clash is undoubtedly the mother of all cricket matches, and Australia’s T20I captain Aaron Finch also admitted that fact and said that he would never miss a chance to watch the biggest rivalry on the field in the cricket stadium whenever he gets the opportunity.
Finch further revealed that he watched the mouth-watering India vs Pakistan battle at the T20 World Cup 2022 last week on TV, but he wanted to see the battle from the stands, as he described how people eagerly wait for the big clash across the world.
The Australian skipper further revealed that he was nervous while watching the on-field battle between the two Asian arch-rivals on October 23 at the MCG, given the hype around the match.
Finch also said that he can't wait for the day when he can retire and go to watch an India-Pakistan match live.
Aaron Finch told Melinda Farrell on her YouTube channel: “Regardless of what the result is...I think the India-Pakistan game was amazing. I was actually sitting at home, nervous! I was nervous in the build-up watching that because I know how big a clash it is and I can't wait for the day that I can retire and go and watch an India-Pakistan game live somewhere.”
He also hailed Virat Kohli’s unbeaten knock of 82 against Pakistan that helped Team India beat the Men in Green by 4 wickets in the last-ball thriller at the packed MCG on Sunday (October 23).
Finch signed off by saying, “What it was...was a Virat Kohli masterclass! You always felt even though...... with three overs to go that if you're still there...you know the amount of pressure that he puts on the opposition just by being there and yeah it was just great viewing.”
