T20 World Cup 2022: ‘Head to the ball, play straight and play late’ Netherlands Max O’Dowd's plan against India

It is the dream of all cricketers to play on the big stage like T20 World Cup against the top teams, and Netherlands batter Max O’Dowd is no different. He is currently part of the Netherlands squad taking part in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

The Netherlands played some brilliant cricket in the qualification round to make it to the Super 12 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 and now they are currently facing India in the 23rd match of the tournament on Thursday (October 27) at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Ahead of India v Netherlands clash at the T20 World Cup 2022, Max revealed his plans for the big match against one of the top teams in the world on Twitter on October 25.

Max shared a note on Twitter which can be read: "Head to the ball, play straight and play late."

Notably, the Netherlands is currently placed at the bottom with zero wins in the Super 13 round of the T20 World Cup 2022. Talking about the India v Netherlands match, the Dutch team now requires 180 runs to win the match against Rohit Sharma and his team if they want to keep their semifinal hopes alive.

Max O'Dowd couldn't quite repeat his previous performance and was bowled by Akshar Patel for 16 runs in 10 balls with 3 fours, as the Netherlands are 20/2 in 4.2 overs.
