Arshdeep sent the Pakistan captain back to the pavilion in the very first ball of his T20 World Cup career with a beautiful inswinger and then dismissed Rizwan in the fourth over to have a dream debut in the ICC event as well as give a stunning start to the Indian team against Pakistan.
Well, moments after Babar was dismissed for a golden duck in the T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 encounter against India, Suresh Raina started trending on social media along with Arshdeep, and the reason was that the former batter's prediction came true on Sunday.
Recently, Raina predicted Arshdeep would defeat Babar in the MCG in an interview with Quint. He had stated: “He is good skipper and a really good cricketer. He has done really well for his team. But hopefully, when he comes to play against us, Arshdeep Singh will get him out.”
Raina’s prediction came true and fans couldn’t keep calm as they were hailing the former cricketer and Arshdeep on Twitter. Notably, Arshdeep finished with the impressive figures of 3/32 in his four overs, as Pakistan was restricted to 159/8 in 20 overs by India at the MCG on Sunday.
