India won the toss and chose to bowl first with India going in with Mohammad Shami and R Ashwin in their XI. Shaheen Afridi returned to Pakistan XI, as they prepared to bat first on a spicy MCG pitch.

Rohit said at the toss: "Looks like a good pitch, a bit of grass, and it's a little overcast, so the ball might swing around a little bit, so we'll try and use that to our advantage. Very much sorted with our preparation now. It's time to come out and enjoy ourselves."

Ahead of the important game, the cricket fraternity took to Twitter to wish Rohit Sharma and rest of the Indian team all the best for this crunch encounter.
