India and Pakistan are all set to kick off their ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday (October 23). The rain, on the other hand, could derail the much-anticipated clash of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 at the MCG.

Because a massive rain threat looms over the tournament's big clash between India and Pakistan in Melbourne, all players are hoping that the game should be possible at the MCG, which is expected to have almost one lakh crowd for the match.

However, weather suggests that rain will take place at the MCG in the evening, which could lead to a curtailed affair, but fans and players are keeping their fingers crossed for a full 40-over contest on Sunday.

Well, ahead of the India vs Pakistan match, Babar Azam was asked by a journalist if the players in his camp were singing "rain, rain, go away". The skipper came up with a hilarious yet savage response at the pre-match press conference in Melbourne, and now the clip has been widely spread on the internet.

Babar replied to the journalist by saying: “Hum bacche ko koi lorie nahi suna rahe (no, we are not signing a lullaby to a child). See, the weather isn't in our hands but as a player and as a captain, I am hoping for the match to take place.”

The Pakistani skipper added, “Everyone is waiting for this match and it would be good if a full-length contest takes place. No matter how long the match is, we are ready to handle all kinds of situations and will hope to give 100%.”
