Rain may play spoilsport in the much-awaited clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022, which is to be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on October 23, Sunday.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) already confirmed that the tickets for the big clash between the two old foes were sold out, but the weather seems to be not in the mood to allow fans to enjoy the battle at the MCG – a stadium with a capacity of more than 90,000 fans.

According to the forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology, there’s a 90% chance of heavy rainfall in Melbourne on Sunday – the day when two arch-rivals will revive the cricket rivalry at the MCG.

The Bureau of Meteorology stated: “Light winds becoming southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h during the morning.”

There will be reportedly 100% cloud cover in Melbourne on India vs Pakistan match day, which might help the seamers to get some swing and seam if the match gets underway on Sunday.

Notably, if India vs Pakistan match is washed out, then both teams will get one point each, as there are no reserve days during the group stages of the T20 World Cup 2022.

However, reserve days are available for the semifinals and the final in Australia.
