Virat Kohli was at his absolute best in India’s T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match against Australia at the Gabba on Monday (October 17).
The former India skipper produced an incredible direct hit to run out Tim David and then took a one-handed stunner on the long-on boundary to dismiss Pat Cummins.
Thanks to his brilliance in the closing stages of the game, India defeated Australia by a narrow margin of six runs.
However, Kohli’s stay at the crease with the bat was a short one as he scored 19 off 13 balls with 1 four and a six. The veteran batter was certainly not satisfied with his lack of playing time in the middle and was seen sweating it out in the nets after the game.
Kohli spent nearly 40 minutes in the nets at the Gabba with the Indian coaching staff. In a sight to savour for the cricket fans, he did his net session alongside Pakistan captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan.
The video of Kohli’s net session along with Babar and Rizwan has taken the internet by storm.

Ahead of the marquee clash, both teams are fine-tuning their preparations by playing warm-up games in Brisbane.

India and Pakistan have one more warm-up match left before they face each other in the Super-12 round. While the inaugural T20 champions will take on New Zealand at the Gabba on October 19, Pakistan will lock horns with Afghanistan at the same venue on the same day.
