T20 World Cup 2022: WATCH – KL Rahul hits two outrageous sixes against Australia in the warm-up fixture

Rahul slammed 57 off 33 balls in India's total of 186/7.

KL Rahul | Screengrab/ICCKL Rahul seems to be in complete control of his game ahead of India’s T20 World Cup 2022 opener against arch-rivals Pakistan next week.

The right-hander slammed 57 off 33 balls in India’s first warm-up fixture against Australia at the Gabba on Monday (October 17). His knock was studded with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

However, it was Rahul’s two maximums that caught everyone’s attention. The first shot was played in the fourth over against Marcus Stoinis as the Indian opener backed away and smashed a six back over the bowler's head.

The second one was an outrageous stroke executed against Pat Cummins in the fifth over of India’s innings. This time around, Rahul picked up the length quickly and whipped the ball nonchalantly over midwicket for a huge six.
