India played their first practice match in Perth, Australia against the Western Australia team on October 10 and won the low-scoring encounter by 13 runs as the bowlers shined brightly on a green top wicket.
Suryakumar Yadav continued his good form as the Indian team had a fine outing against Western Australia Cricket Association XI, scoring a half-century on a difficult pitch. Then despite some resistance by Sam Fanning, Arshdeep Singh picked 3/9, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal got two scalps as well.
The BCCI posted the highlights from the match on their website and shared the link on their social media accounts as well.
During the match, the highlights showed Virat Kohli acting as the 12th man and bringing on drinks onto the ground as well. Kohli didn’t feature in the Indian XI which played and was seen having some fun with the players in the middle during the break.
