Australia batter David Warner ended the T20 World Cup 2021 with a superb knock of 53 runs off 38 balls in the final which helped his team win the title. They defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets and won their maiden T20 World Cup trophy.
After the match, Warner's wife Candice took to Twitter and posted a dig at the critics who had doubts over the Aussie opener heading into the tournament.
Notably, the southpaw was also left out by his Indian Premier League (IPL) side Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 14th edition.

"Out of form, too old and slow! ???????? congratulations @davidwarner31," wrote Candice after Warner won the Player of the Tournament award.
The Australia opener finished the tournament with 289 runs from seven innings at an average of 48.16, including three half-centuries. He was the second highest run-getter in the T20 World Cup 2021.
In the final match, Australia chased down the target of 173 runs in 18.5 overs with Mitchell Marsh smashing a 50-ball unbeaten 77, apart from Warner's half-century. Marsh was named the Player of the Match for his innings.
